At 1900 hours Charlestown Rescue units were dispatched along with Dunn’s Corners Fire Department, Charlestown Police and DEM Police for a single car MVA into a tree at the Burlingame Campground. Arriving crews found a single vehicle into a tree on the main access road just in from the main check-in station, with the sole operator still in the vehicle. Units Responding: 692, 693, R-2, SQ-90

Even though these calls occurred during weekday hours, they were handled by numerous providers that were available at the building training above our normal staffing levels. This also allowed us to backfill a second rescue while the primary rescue transports to RI Hospital prolonging turnaround times.
