At 12:17 Charlestown Rescue was dispatched with Charlestown Police, and Dunn's Corners Fire Department for a report of a vessel collision with persons in the water at the Charlestown Breachway. Arriving police officers identified 3 individuals who were involved in the collision and were on land by the West wall of the breachway. Rescue Vessels were cancelled and we transitioned to a land based rescue.

With the assistance of the town’s contractors and various rescue and fire utility vehicles, members entered from Blue Shutters Beach and responded down the beach to the Wes wall. Rescue swimmers were deployed and packaged one patient for transport. The other two victims were assisted with wadding through the water. Everyone was transported back to blue shutters beach where awaiting ambulances transported one patient to Rhode Island Hospital and 2 other patients were further evaluated and refused transport. All units were clear at 14:04 hours.
