This weekend, 15 members participated in “The Dynamic Duo: RSI and Principles of Mechanical Ventilation” taught by Rich Mosher BS, NRP, FP-C. CARS was recently approved by RIDOH CEMS to begin a Medication Assisted Intubation program and this class is part of our ongoing preparatory training.

During the class providers had the opportunity to review anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, intubation techniques (including direct and video laryngoscope), mechanical ventilation, and practiced advanced skills such as needle and surgical cricothyrotomy as well as needle decompression.
