Charlestown Rescue hosted a Ocean Rescue Systems 3-day rescue swimmer class this weekend. Swimmers from Charlestown Rescue, Jamestown Vol. Fire Department, Little Compton Fire Department, Portsmouth Rhode Island Firefighters, Union Fire District of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, and Dunn's Corners Fire Department participated in this unique training opportunity. Swimmers worked in the ponds and the Charlestown Breachway, both on the rocks and in the open ocean. Swimmers worked on all of this from either shore based deployments or rescue boat platforms. Congratulations to those that passed this course and a huge Thank You to those that helped make this class happen!
