This morning, Charlestown Ambulance-Rescue Service and the Charlestown Fire District were dispatched alongside Charlestown and DEM Police to assist a deer in distress on Pasquiset Pond. A firefighter carefully made their way across the ice to secure the deer, and responders on shore worked together to pull the exhausted doe to safety. All units cleared once the rescue was complete, with DEM staying on scene to monitor the tired animal. Great teamwork from everyone involved!
